WEB SITE ACCESSIBILITY

WHAT IS ADA COMPLIANCE?

A.D.A complaince is a law that was passed in 1990 preventing any discriminatory acts of any kind to individuals with a disability. You can read more about the act HERE

How does this effect my business?

Most businesses will fall under Title I and Title III of the Americans with Disability Act of 1990.

  • Title I - You can read about Title I HERE . This title refers to Employment. If your business employees more than 14 individuals and you operate more than 20 weeks a year. Your compliance is required. You will not be allowed to discriminate against any employee who has a disability of any kind. You also must make reasonable accommodations for said employees so that their job performance is not hindered because of their disability.
  • Title III - You can read about Title III HERE . This Title refers to Public Accommodations and Commercial Facilities. This is the title that will most likely be utilizing services from Bootstrap Websites. However, we accept any and all clients. This title is what governs small businesses that offer a service to the public. You as a business are not allowed to discriminate against any person(s) with a disability, and must attempt to make all reasonable accommodations to assist those person(s) with your services.

What does that mean for your business?

It means you are equal. It means you will not tolerate any employee or representative for your business that may be discriminating against anyone with a disability. It means you CARE.

You are a business that not only desires their business, but you will assist them in any possible way to help them with their services that they may need.

How can we help?

Your desire to not only help, but to remain compliant is vital to the success of your business. It shows that you are compassionate towards all individuals who may need your services, or wish to be employed by your business. At Bootstrap Websites we offer a tool for all of our clients to assist in remaining complaint.
